Course terms

AI Boss Builder · Tinkerers, LLC · Effective November 6, 2026

These terms are between you and Tinkerers, LLC ("we"), which runs AI Boss Builder. Questions go to [email protected].

1. What you buy

  • A 12-week cohort course. It starts Monday, January 4, 2027. Each week has one live 90-minute class, weekday office hours and homework.
  • Standard: $1,500 paid in full, or 3 monthly payments ($2,000 in total). VIP: $2,500 paid in full, or 3 monthly payments ($3,350 in total).
  • Lessons and homework live in Thinkific. The community lives on a separate community platform, which we name in your welcome email.
  • Lifetime community means a seat in the AI Boss Builder community for as long as we run that community.
  • Adults only. You must be 18 or older to join. We ask for your date of birth when you reserve a seat, to verify your age.

2. The deposit

Your first payment is your deposit. If you pay in full, the deposit is one third of the price. A ~ marks an amount rounded to the cent.

Plan Price Deposit
Standard, paid in full $1,500 $500
Standard, 3 payments $2,000 $666.68
VIP, paid in full $2,500 ~$833.33
VIP, 3 payments $3,350 $1,116.68
SEAP Standard, paid in full $1,000 ~$333.33
SEAP Standard, 3 payments $1,000 $333.34
SEAP VIP, in full or 3 payments $1,500 $500

SEAP rates apply only once ESD approves the course.

The deposit holds your seat and pays for the first 4 weeks of the course. We keep it if you leave, except where section 3.1 or section 4 says otherwise.

3. Refunds

3.1 The 7-day guarantee

If you join on or before December 24, 2026, you may cancel within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund, deposit included. Join on December 24 and your 7 days run to December 31.

If you join after December 24, 2026, or move up from the waitlist after December 24, there is no 7-day guarantee. Your seat is committed from the day you pay.

3.2 Leaving before the course starts

After your 7 days end, or if you joined after December 24, you may still leave before the course starts. You get back everything you paid except the deposit. Payments not yet due are canceled.

3.3 Leaving while the course runs

You may leave at any time. Once the course starts, leaving does not by itself bring a refund, and payments not yet due stay due. A refund, or a stop to later payments, comes only for a qualifying reason (section 3.4). Quitting or losing interest is not a qualifying reason.

3.4 Qualifying reasons

  • We did not deliver a promise in section 1. This is judged pass or fail: did we do it or not. It is never a judgment of quality. Your request names the promise.
  • A medical emergency.
  • Military orders.
  • An act of God or a natural disaster.
  • SEAP students only: you take a job and cannot continue. The job offer alone is not enough. You must be unable to continue, and conditions apply.

We review every request case by case. If it qualifies, you get back one twelfth of your plan's price for each week not yet started, and payments not yet due are canceled. We never refund the deposit after your 7 days, except under section 4. A week counts as started once its class is held.

To ask, write to [email protected] with the subject "Cancellation request." Say which reason applies.

3.5 If we deliver late

Each promise in section 1 has a date. If we miss one, we owe you one week's money (one twelfth of your plan's price) for each full 7 days it is late. Example: a kit posted 14 days after its date gives back 2 weeks of your money.

A class we cannot teach live is not a miss if we post a recorded version that week and hold a live makeup class later.

3.6 Removal for conduct

If we remove you for breaking the code of conduct (section 5), we keep the larger of your deposit or the weeks you have started, at one twelfth of your plan's price per week. You get back the rest of what you have paid, and payments not yet due are canceled.

3.7 Missed payments

If a payment on a 3-payment plan fails, Stripe retries it. If it still has not gone through when the retries end, your course access pauses. If it is still unpaid 14 days later, your seat ends, payments not yet due are canceled, and we keep what you have paid.

If you are struggling to pay, contact us before your seat ends. We will work with you.

3.8 How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to your original payment method. We start them within 5 to 10 business days after we approve them. Your bank may take a few more days to show them.

4. Changes to the dates

We may need to change the start date or a class date. If we do, we email you within 48 hours of making the change, and always before the new date.

  • If we move the date, you stay enrolled and these terms apply as written, including section 3. If the new date does not work for you, write to [email protected] and we will work it out with you. That can include a priority seat in the next cohort.
  • If we cancel the course, you get a full refund, deposit included, and a priority seat in the next cohort if you want one.

5. Code of conduct

The code of conduct is part of these terms. Breaking it can lead to removal under section 3.6.

Xenia: how this house works

This course runs on an old Greek idea called xenia, the bond between a host and a guest. The host takes care of the guests' needs. The guests are courteous to the host and to each other. When a guest leaves, the host gives a parting gift, and the two stay friends for life.

You are my guest for these 12 weeks. You are also building a business next to people doing the same thing. These rules keep the house safe and welcoming for that. They apply in live classes, office hours, VIP calls, the community and any private message between members.

My duties as your host

  • I take care of what you need to do the work: the classes, the materials, the feedback and the support the course promises.
  • I keep the room safe, and I act on every report (rule 8).
  • I give you a parting gift when you finish, as a thank-you for staying: Apokalypsis, Bonus 02, a learning platform that helps you learn and understand anything.

Your duties as a guest

Be courteous to your host and to each other. In practice, that means these rules.

1. Treat people with respect

  • Disagree with ideas, not with people.
  • No harassment, threats, insults or discrimination, including on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability or national origin.
  • No sexual content or advances.

2. What is said here stays here

  • Do not share another member's business, numbers, story or screen outside the course without their permission.
  • Do not record, screenshot or download classes, calls or posts, except through the replay tools we provide.
  • Course recordings, kits and materials are for your own use. Do not resell, repost or share them.

3. Protect data, yours and other people's

  • Never post passwords, API keys or other secrets, even in a screenshot.
  • Never bring an employer's confidential data, code or customer information into the course. Use your own or made-up data.
  • Do not collect other members' contact details for marketing without their consent.

4. No selling to the room

  • Do not pitch, recruit or promote your products, services or referral links to other members unless the post or session invites it.
  • No spam and no mass messages.

5. Be honest

  • Do not claim results, credentials or work that are not yours.
  • Do not impersonate anyone, including Nathan or the course.

6. Keep it legal

  • Do not use the course, its tools or its community for anything illegal, or to build a business that breaks the law.

When you leave

My request is simple. Host others the way you were hosted here. Leave this house refreshed. And if I ever knock on your door, welcome me as a friend.

If a rule is broken

  • Most problems end with a private message and a fix.
  • Serious or repeated breaks can lead to a warning, a pause on community access, or removal from the course.
  • Harassment, threats, or sharing another member's private information can lead to immediate removal.

Report a problem

Write to [email protected]. Tell us what happened, where and when. We read every report and keep the reporter's name private.

Changes to this code

We may update this code. We tell members in the community when we do.

6. Recordings, privacy and marketing

  • Classes are recorded for the replay library. Exercises run in breakouts or with recording paused.
  • Office hours are recorded and posted to your cohort's community space only.
  • VIP one-on-ones are recorded and sent only to that VIP.
  • By joining, you agree that your face and voice may be shown to your cohort in recordings.
  • What is said in the room stays in the room.
  • On calls the instructor attends, an AI note-taker makes a transcript for the instructor's own notes and to improve the course. It is not shared.
  • Nothing you say or show in class is used in public marketing unless you agree to it. For a testimonial or a specific clip, we ask you first, during the course, and use a separate consent form. Saying no never affects your seat. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to [email protected].

7. Bonuses

For the course:

  • A year of the Exorcise app, for troubleshooting your mindset. Given as a code for the annual plan. We remind you before it renews.
  • A free year of the instructor's paid Substack.
  • StemCell, the AI construction crew: a custom plugin for Claude Code. You learn to set it up and use it in class.

For graduates, when you finish the course:

  • Apokalypsis, the AI tutor: early access while it is in beta.
  • A certificate of completion.

8. Disputes

Please write to us before you contact your card company. Most problems are solved in a reply. Washington law governs these terms. Disputes are heard in King County, Washington.

9. Equal opportunity and nondiscrimination

Tinkerers, LLC provides equal opportunity in AI Boss Builder. We do not discriminate against any applicant or student on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, citizenship status as a lawfully admitted immigrant authorized to work in the United States, marital status, sexual orientation or gender identity, honorably discharged veteran or military status, or the use of a guide dog or service animal by a person with a disability. To ask for an accommodation or to raise a concern, write to [email protected].
